Luben Dimov

Luben teaches in the Forestry Program at the University of Vermont. His research interests include the inter- and intra-specific spatial relationships among trees in temperate forest ecosystems, mechanisms that maintain tree diversity, the relationship between forest diversity and productivity, as well as the effect of natural disturbances and silvicultural treatments on forest dynamics and resilience. He strives to foster student growth and empowerment by incorporating student experiential learning in his work and providing opportunities for engagement, scholarship, and independent research. Luben initiate with project while a Professor at AAMU and has continued to have strong involvement both in the science and mentoring of students and staff.
