The Sarawak Forest Department in partnership with the Center for Tropical Forest Science of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, and Osaka City University, Japan, seek to promote the scientific investigation of tropical forests in Sarawak, Malaysia. These institutions oversee and support the continued monitoring of the 52-ha Forest Dynamics Plot in Lambir Hills National Park, Sarawak, Malaysia.
Our goal is to make the Lambir Hills 52-hectare Forest Dynamics Plot data available to researchers and students that can utilize these data to address a wide range of scientific and management questions. However, maintaining the Lambir Hills plot requires enormous field effort and an ongoing financial commitment by several parties. We therefore require that the Principal Investigators of the Lambir Plot be considered collaborators on any project making use of the data and be included as co-authors on any articles or presentations, unless they explicitly state otherwise.
Data from the Lambir Forest Dynamics plots are available for download upon submission of the Data Request Form. Fill out the form after reading the Terms and Conditions for Use of the Lambir Dynamics Plot Data. Submission of the form indicates your compliance with the terms and conditions described.
A message will automatically be sent to the PIs who will contact you regarding instructions on how to download the data.
