Bio

KC Cushman is a postdoctoral fellow with ForestGEO and NGEE-Tropics studying tropical forest structure. KC is a forest ecologist interested in understanding variation in forest structure and function across space and time. Her research combines ground measurements and remote sensing methods to study how organismal processes influence carbon stocks and fluxes in tropical forest landscapes. Her postdoctoral project focuses on using repeated drone-based photogrammetry and lidar to explore how soils and topography influence rates of canopy disturbance in central Panama.
