Gulinqing

If you are interested in using data from Gulinqing, please read the Terms & Conditions prior to submitting your Data Request Form.

Data Request: In order to access the Gulinqing 25-hectare Forest Dynamics Plot data a "Data Request Form" must be completed. This form requires that the applicant agree to comply with "Terms and Conditions" for the use of Gulinqing Forest Dynamics Plot Data as described here.

Non-transferability: Prospective investigators are not permitted to share the Gulinqing data with other parties not included on the Data Request Form.

Citation: Any publication that uses Gulinqing data should include the following citations:

Copies of articles: Copies of manuscripts should be sent to PIs Wen-Hong Chen (whchen@mail.kib.ac.cn) and Yu-Min Shui (ymshui@mail.kib.ac.cn) prior to submission for publication. Once published, the PDF and any supplementary documents should be sent to all PIs.  Upon publication, a PDF copy of (or a link to) the article should also be sent to forestgeo@si.edu.

Limitation of Use: Prospective investigators are not permitted to use the Gulinqing data for projects or analyses other than those explicitly described in the Data Request Form. A new Data Request Form must be submitted for any new use of the data. Prospective investigators are also not permitted to sell the data, or use them in any way for commercial gain.

Data Citation: Any publication that uses Gulinqing data should state the specific version number of the data set used for analysis. This version number will be provided after the data request has been approved.

Acknowledgements: All publications that include the Gulinqing 25-ha plot data must acknowledge the institutions and funding that enabled the establishment of the plot with the following acknowledgement:

The 25-ha Long-Term Ecological Research Project is a collaborative project of the Research Group of the Speciation and Evolution of Karst Plants (SEKP) of Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yunnan Ecological Monitoring Network, Maguan Gulinqing Provincial Nature Reserve, the Chinese Forest Biodiversity Monitoring Network (CForBio), and the Forest Global Earth Observatory (ForestGEO) of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.

To submit a data request, please write to Gulinqing PIs, Shiui Yumin (ymshui@mail.kib.ac.cn) and Chen Wenhong (whchen@mail.kib.ac.cn).  Please provide a description of your research project, the analyses you plan to perform on the data, and the data required (e.g. full dataset, specific census, species, diameter range, etc.).
