Combining empirical, experimental and theoretical approaches,  Chengjin's lab (the MAPPING group in SYSU) focuses on exploring the mechanisms underlying species coexistence and biodiversity maintenance within and across multiple-trophic levels in forests in the changing world, especially in subtropical forests.
